Our Mission is to build, strengthen, and unify the Greater New Orleans area Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgener and Queer community through advocacy, education, collaboration and communication, in order to foster mutual respect and understanding.
topThe Community Coalition meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month.
Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 15th at 5:30pm, at the LGBT Community Center. We will have a meet and greet until 6pm and the meeting should end around 7pm.
Guerrilla LGBTQ Pride sidewalk celebration will be held on Saturday, June 27th from noon to 5pm to mark the 40th anniversary of the Stonewall Inn riots.
The event is open to participation by any interested LGBT organization or business (and our allies). You are encouraged to bring tables to display information along the sidewalks. We just ask that you don't block the street or other businesses. Feel free to collaborate with other organizations to share tables.
This is also National HIV Testing Day, so CAN (Community Awareness Network) at 507 Frenchmen will be having special testing hours.
In addition, FAB Books will be having three authors signing their works throughout the day and re:Vision will be having a BBQ. Come out and gather resources and become a part of your community.
